Heartsaver CPR AED

The Heartsaver CPR AED course trains participants to give CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

The AHA Heartsaver CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. Anyone who wants to learn CPR and possibly save a life.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED

This is an instructor-led, hands-on class format that reinforces skills proficiency.

This course is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students the critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrive. This course uses AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.

Class Length: Approximately 6 hours

Who Should Take This Course?

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is geared toward anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

BLS for Healthcare Providers

The Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve a foreign body airway obstruction in a safe, effective, and timely manner.

This course is for Healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

PALS

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the essential concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. The PALS Course aims to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.

The PALS Course is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies involving infants and children. These include personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, and others who need an AHA PALS course completion card.

The course allows learners to think about pediatric emergencies and critically debrief in an instructor-led skills group environment. The class uses learning stations to practice essential skills in simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active participation; the hands-on class format reinforces skills proficiency.

  • PALS New Provider initial course (2 days) is for people who have never held a PALS credential. The course is formatted for the new provider seeking to establish a solid pediatric critical care foundation. The information and skills are delivered steadily, instilling confidence in a positive learning environment.
  • PALS Update course (1 day) covers all the updated material in a single-day setting. Our low-stress and informative classes build confidence and team interaction.

ACLS

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is the American Heart Association's basic standard for acute care resuscitation.

This instructor-led course provides the core elements of resuscitation, highlighting the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition, and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, and immediate post-cardiac arrest management. The ACLS course also covers acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).

OPTIONS:

  • ACLS New Provider initial course (2 days) is for people who have never held an ACLS credential. The course is formatted to ensure the information and skills are delivered steadily, instilling confidence in a positive learning environment.
